We’ve been so caught up dealing with the side effects from Gina’s liver resection, that we were caught off guard when her surgeon came in today to report on its ACTUAL effect.
He confirmed they were able to achieve clean margins, and the tumors had a treatment response rate of 99%.
In other words, they got all the remaining tumors fully out of Gina’s liver—and 99% of what they removed was already dead from chemotherapy.
That’s as good a result as we could have ever hoped for.
There’s still a road ahead of us to travel, but now there’s reason to believe it will be longer in the right way.
